Work Agreement

(updated March 5, 2025)

OUR PROCESS - WHAT TO EXPECT

I will guide, coach and work alongside the client in a personalized, structured organizing process. As a certified consultant, our work together will be inspired by the framework of the KonMari Method…

  • Commit to tidying up one’s belongings in one thorough, complete event

  • Start with a vision of your ideal lifestyle and environment

  • Finish discarding first

  • Work category by category, not location

  • Work through categories in a specific order, from easiest to most challenging (typically Clothes, Books, Papers, Komono/Miscellaneous, Sentimental)

  • Choose to keep what brings you joy, and supports your ideal lifestyle

As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), I continue my commitment to professional development and education, and abide the NAPO Code of Ethics.

PROCESS OWNERSHIP

The client must be present and available to focus on the decluttering and organizing task for the duration of each in-home session, as we work together. All adults over the age of 18 must participate in processing their own belongings, unless special permission is given. Everyone is happier when each person feels their voice is heard!

No items will be thrown out without the client’s permission. Although I will help the client through the decision-making process, the final decision is always the client’s. The client is responsible for any loss of damage resulting from the discarding or destroying of any records or personal effects.

RATES & PAYMENT

The initial intake phone call is free of charge. The following packages are available…

  • Two, 3-hour sessions: $460

  • Five, 3-hour sessions: $1080

  • Ten, 3-hour sessions: $2040

  • Twenty, 3-hour sessions: $3840

Extra hours may be booked after initial purchase at a rate of $80/hour. Payment for each session is due at the time of booking and can be made online via Stripe, Venmo (@tidywithintent), check (Tidy with Intent, LLC) or cash.

There is a charge of $35 for any check returned for insufficient funds or any bank draft item that is not payable for any reason, as well as additional collection and/or legal fees to compensate for overdraft charges and unpaid account balances.

SUPPLIES & REMOVAL OF UNWANTED ITEMS

The client is responsible for providing everyday supplies such boxes, containers and garbage bags to complete the project. To date all clients I have worked with already have enough to begin without purchasing extras, and often end up donating a surplus of storage items at the conclusion of working together. Recommendations can be made for any extra supplies needed to complete the project, to be purchased by the client directly. Removal of unwanted items is not provided by Tidy with Intent, but recommendations for resale, donation (including some with collection services) and recycling will be made.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

Your organizing sessions are reserved just for you. Please notify me at least 48 hours in advance if you must cancel a scheduled session. Exception is made for cases of illness or emergency. If I must reschedule a session, I will add an additional free hour of tidying to the client’s package, or refund an hour of work depending on the client’s preference and my availability. If you cancel within 48 hours of a schedule session, you will forfeit those funds for that session.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

Due to the sensitive nature of our work together, I will at all times operate with confidentiality, honesty and integrity. All client information will be kept strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law.

Clients give Tidy with Intent, LLC permission to use, without remuneration, testimonials they provide, as well as before and after photos of their location, taken with their permission.

Clients waive any rights or permissions regarding any photos taken with permission and indemnify Tidy with Intent regarding those photos.
